hmm, Its been a while since I post anything.. I started this blog with a hope that I can maintain posting, but writing has always been my weakness .. The only thing that I really love is photography, but I left my passion because I can’t afford it, not now.. My most valuable photo collection has long been lost, and the last camera that I bought using my biasiswa has broken.. I still remember the problem I faced just to buy the camera including ikat perut for months, buka puasa sedekah at masjid along the Ramadan, didn’t pay for my university fees, get a surat mahkamah issued by PTPTN (which force me to sell my previous camera to pay PTPTN) and many tekanan mental, but I don’t give up.. for A picture tell a thousands story, a reminder of history, a memoir of a moment, a document of evidence. but somehow I’ve lost my self, at least for now.. my photos are empty, without a story, without a passion, without a fight, without a struggle.. listen to Iwan falls and hear the song of the people.. people who are struggling, who have ambition, who stand up in what they believe in.. hmm, that is who I used to be.. too many ambition, so many changes, now I’m empty inside.. just like a blank photo, overexpose and burnout (menghembus nafas) …. ambitions become dreams, and motivation become hopes.. why have I stop?? What happened to the latter that I want to give to Tun Dr. Mahathir, to the photography book that I want to write, to journal that I want to publish, the hijrah that I’ve always seek for, to become the person that I wish to be, to become the person that I need to be. Ya Allah, bimbinglah aku, ahli keluargaku, sahabat2 ku, jiran tetangga ku, dan juga guru2 ku.. Sesungguhnya engkaulah sebaik2 pembimbing, Amin.

Zoology Department’s Bowling Competition

Our department held a bowling competition last week. I was never good at bowling and but our head department insist us (all tutor) to join the competition to strengthen our bond as a team. I joined the novice bowling competition a week before and got the 34th place. so I’ve never intended to win on this competition. But I went to practice anyway because it is always good to confront with your weakness and try to improve yourself . Then I got to team up with a postgraduate student (Madi). Both of us sucks at bowling but fortunately, an undergraduate (Saidin) and a staff (a.Hasri) join our group and both of them are very good at bowling. Anyway, we set out mind to enjoy and have fun with this competition rather then winning it because we thought that many of our opponent (14 other) have an overall a more capable team. at the end of the day somehow, we (my team as well as others) are very surprise that our team get the second place.. Hooray!!!.. Sweet Victory..So the moral of the story is that, you’ll never know what you can achieve until you try it (hehe, that’s why I start blogging also, but I’m still poor at bowling anyway so I still went to practice for future competition)..

Satang Besar Island

This is technically the first topic in my blog, so I want to start with the place that I always love to go since my childhood, the Satang Besar island. I went there last week with three of my uncle and two of my brother for a fishing trip, it’s kind of like an old generation versus the new generation fishing competition. Satang Besar have always been special to us because it is our family’s inheritance ever since Charles Vyner Brook granted the island to our great (x5) grandfather, Datuk Patinggi Ali. Satang Besar is protected under the National Park and Nature Reserve Regulations 1998 and one of its main attraction is sea turtle. I love sea turtle, to me, it is the second most cutest animal on earth after Cats (in par with flying lemur and tarsier..hehe).. there are three species of sea turtle nesting on Satang, the Green Turtle (Chelonia Mydas), Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea), and Hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata) and if you’re lucky, you probably can watch them laying their eggs or even their babies hatching. But please turn off your torchlight and do not take photos with flash as their eyes are very sensitive to light. Anyway, enough of words, this are some of the photos I took recently. Assalamualaikum n Salam sejahtera to all. Welcome to my blog (my first ever blog) and hopefully that I can post a lot of things that can entertain all of you.. Anyway this is actually an experiment to see how well is my writing skills and my first move to improve it. I started to think of blogging just yesterday, Thanks to my friend Melissa Wong (the genius of our batch) who has started her blog “almostforestbiotech.blogspot.com”. I’m always too lazy to write something about what happened to myself everyday, so this is one of the few reason that I don’t like about blogging. Now that I’ve realize that we can also use blogs as a medium for scientific communication.. so I have decide to try to make my own blog, with my major focus of writing on zoology, photography, expedition, and may be a little bit about my life as a zoologist also.. hopefully I can manage my time to update this blog frequently.. and I would be very pleased if anyone would leave a comment or post some news here..
